Toro 43-Gallon Spring Bucket #29210
The bucket performs well and stores relatively flat. It seems rugged enough to endure some heavy duty projects. It was slightly challenging to pull out a very full plastic liner all by myself, but should’t be a problem with an extra pair of hands.

I use the Toro spring bucket when we go camping. It collapses for easy storage in our tent trailer. I’ve purchased 6 of these because everyone who sees this thing in our campsite wants one. At this price, and the quality of the item, it just can’t be beat. The large size is a big plus. Don’t know why anyone would want or need a shoulder strap with this item, it’s just to big, with the four handles who would need a strap?

Great product I use for carting leaves and twigs. Especially like the collapsesable feature with snap in buckle straps which makes easy storage.

This bag truley makes clean up a breeze. it holds the trash bag open and lets me stuff leaves and sticks in there, without breaking the bags. i can stuff twice as much stuff in a trash bag when using this bucket.
It has holes at the bottom to let air through, it stores easily and is a big help overall.

I have used the Toro Spring Bucket a few times now and it has made a less than enjoyable task so much easier. It is just the right size to "accept" the incoming leaves and holds the plastic bag in place while I tap down the debris. It sells for a reasonable price and is very well made. I do have one complaint, however, the bucket was shipped to me in a box 4 times the size needed with reams of brown paper for filler. Too wasteful and a pain to discard.

It’s Party Time - Let’s Decorate!

February 25, 2009 | Category:Articles-Host | Author: admin

Holidays are here and so is the spirit of partying. Here are some wonderful ideas for transforming your home into an innovative party scenario and giving your guests an occasion that will forever remain etched in their memories.

1. Entrance: Do up your entrance. The entrance to your home should be magnificent and welcoming. Line the driveway with luminaries. Place a guest book at the front door for expressing sentiments. Clean up clutter near your entrance. Decorate the entrance traditionally or with something unusual to set a celebratory mood. You could also decorate according to the theme of your party. Sleigh Bells or wreaths for Christmas, ghoulish figures for Halloween etc.

2. Lighting: Lighting sets the mood for the party. Interesting ways to play with lighting are to cover light bulbs with multi-colored cellophane strips, cover lights or battery-torches with soft white cloth and place them separately to give the room an air of mystery, or use all your beautiful candles together instead of lights to create a romantic mood. If using candles, combine candles of various colors, shapes and sizes together.

3. Flowers: Flowers will never go out of Fashion. Use lots of seasonal flowers to add freshness and fragrance to your decor. Use garlands to decorate tall structures, floral arrangements on mantels and corners and floating displays of seasonal flowers and floating candles for an eye-catching centerpiece. Visit our Flower Arrangement Gallery by Chrissie Harten (http://www.dotcomwomen.com/home/floral.shtml) for some great ideas. If you expecting kids at your party, place such arrangements out of reach of children or use wooden or metal vases and bowls instead of glass and porcelain.

4. Fabric and Linen: The color and texture of the fabric in the room should be decided according to the occasion, theme, season etc. Cool fabrics go for summers. Rich brocades and Velvet go with a Victorian theme. Red, Golden and White will give the room a Christmassy feel.

5. A Special Touch: Give the party scenario a special touch by placing an object which will be the center of attraction for your guests. A party is the right time to show off your beautiful collection of dolls or your set of original oils by a famous artist. A set of rare books placed together as a ‘mini-library’ in your party room will also become a major attraction if your guests are Literature-Lovers. Apart from collections, you can use mini-aquariums, waterfalls, miniature indoor gardens etc. These will not only beautify the room, but also give your guests a beautiful theme to start a conversation.

Happy Decorating!

How To Bring Your Living Room To Life

February 24, 2009 | Category:Articles-Host | Author: admin

Do you like what you have but dont like your room? Heres the solution: pull your rooms together so they look finished and professionally decorated by following these techniques to add the wow to your rooms! (Ive used them in hundreds of homes!).

1. Paint the walls and ceiling a rich, warm neutral color or one of the colors in your rooms fabrics. Your furnishings will immediately look more at home. I call it marrying your architecture to your furnishings.

2. Next, move your seating away from the walls and group it around a fireplace, a view window or any logical focal point.

3. Now, add a generous area rug to accent and unify your entire seating area.

4. Fill any empty looking corners with large plants and soft up-lights. Add a decorative, folding screen for a fuller look.

5. Place your lamps to evenly and softly light your seating area. Use additional lighting to accent your artwork, collections and accessories.

6. Create a focal point on the coffee table by elevating one of your favorite accessories on a stack of several books (sans covers). This will give your treasure more presence. Then add a low, full green plant or a blooming orchid and a couple of large, glowing candles. If you like a fuller look, use a decorative tray or runner underneath.

7. Lastly, be sure to decorate the top half of your room (from the furniture up), with tall plants, window treatments, artwork and that wall color. The room will feel considerably larger, more interesting and most importantly finished!

These few changes will make all the difference so you can start enjoying living in a beautiful home!

When I bought this cart, it did not say unfinished in the title. Apparently, my e-mail changed their deceptive advertising. First of all, the company does not stand behind their product. Our product came with a broken board. Well, this product came while we were on vacation and after the shock of finding out that it was unfinished and trying to figure out how to finish it, we did not inspect everything for a couple of weeks. The company only gives you 24 hours to inspect the product and let them know if anything is broken. However, they don’t tell you this in any of the packaging. So, if we want to get a replacement board, we have to pay to have it shipped to us. I have never met a business that has a 24 hour return policy. Most businesses have a 30 day return policy. Secondly, this product is not quality furniture. Besides the broken board, most of the pieces have gouges and knicks all over it. The wood on the drawers where you have to connect things is so thin that, even being extra careful, three drawers broke as we were trying to connect them. So, we basically have a broken, glued together, useless piece of junk that is an eyesore. This is not worth the 114 dollars plus the 80 bucks in paint and painting supplies it took to finish this eyesore. The company also was very curt in their e-mails and have done nothing to provide recompense for this piece of junk. The only thing that has changed is the advertising of the product, which is good for other people, but not us. I regret the day I bought this product. There are much better cabinets out there that might cost more money, but they are probably better quality and finished when you receive them.

Living Room Decorating Ideas

Your home is your sanctuary and you’re getting tired of the boring atmosphere you’re living in. The good news is that you don’t have to spend all your money re-decorating your home. Here are five simple tips to help you jazz up and snazzy up your living room.

GET A FRESH COAT

There’s absolutely nothing like a fresh coat of paint to brighten up and old, boring room. There are great paint techniques that you can apply to completely change the look and feel of the room. Remember to keep the color calm and make sure it matches your things.

You can also go bold and daring by painting one wall dramatic and keeping the rest of the panels easy-going.

RE-ARRANGE

Play with your furniture and position it in different places to get a “new look”. If you have a long living room and your furniture looks lost in it, try moving the couches into a U-shape to make it seem fuller and also create a cozier environment.

Review date : 2008-07-15
I recently purchased two of these sets and absolutely love them. I personally have no problem with the "smell". It is not strong at all and goes away quickly. I have them lined up at the foot of my bed. The chocolate color is really pretty! I highly recommend these ottomans!

Review date : 2008-07-12
As with many reviews, I was pleased with this item. Unfortunately I am one of the unlucky ones that have the bad smell. After a week and a runny nose, I have put it outside to "air out". I think it might be the chemicals used in the tanning process.

Review date : 2008-07-06
After reading everyone’s review and preparing myself for the "awful" smell of this ottoman, I was pleasantly surprised to have no smell. I mean, I live in Hawaii so all the houses are opened up so the smell may not linger as long. I did put a dryer sheet in the ottoman for a few days just to rid any smell that might get in the blankets I stuffed in it. You can tell the product isn’t top quality leather but for this price I am excited to have gotten it. I also have a 18month old son who loves the "baby" ottoman. The smaller ottoman is very little, small enough for my son to carry around, but it still a great buy. I’ve already recommended this to a few friends!

Review date : 2008-07-01
I’d looked high and low for a decent 2 piece ottoman set for my computer/gaming room. I had actually seen this very same set at a few retail stores for nearly double the costs.

After testing it, trying it out, moving it about, and putting some fair weight on it I can say that it’s pretty damned high quality craftsmenship.

This little handy duo is going to work great for me. The smaller for my feet, the larger for storage and a side table. Great deal.

Review date : 2008-06-24
an excellent buy at the price. I’ve seen some ottomans of a similar style for more than twice the price and I can see why that is - the build quality is better in the higher priced units. But seriously, these ottomans are damn good value and look the part - I’ll take 80% of the quality for less than 50% of the price. Mine were delivered quickly, and didn’t have any funny smell.

Research Kitchen Remodeling Trends

February 23, 2009 | Category:Articles-Host | Author: admin

Kitchen remodeling is one of the most desirable home improvement projects for many homeowners. A new kitchen increases the value of your home and makes your life easier. The first step to your new kitchen is to set a budget. Decide how much money you are willing to spend. This will help drive your other decisions. Be sure to leave a cushion in your budget for additional, unexpected expenses.

When determining your budget, consider how long you intend to stay in your home. If you are planning to sell in the next year or so, you may want to spend less money. Decide which features you must have in your new kitchen. You can cut corners in other areas by substituting less expensive materials for the counter tops, flooring or cabinet doors.

Research Kitchen Trends

Before you start planning your remodelling project, do some research on the current trends and designs being used in kitchens. Look for information on the internet or in home decorating magazines. Visit your local home improvement center for more ideas. Start a file for pictures of kitchens you love, furniture, appliances, fabric swatches or anything else you find interesting. This will help when you are ready to start purchasing items for your new room.

Options in Kitchen Remodeling

Cabinets are an expensive item in any kitchen remodeling project. They often take up half of the overall budget for the room. If you can’t afford the cost of brand new cabinets, there are cheaper alternatives. Consider cabinet refacing rather than replacing the entire cabinet. In refacing, the doors are replaced and exterior wood areas are covered. This is much less expensive since you are using the same cabinets. An even cheaper alternative is to paint your existing cabinets and buy new hardware.

If you must have new cabinets, consider adding some extra features. Features such as tilt out drawers, pull out garbage cans or a lazy Susan inside a corner cabinet are great space savers and make the room more functional. The doors can be either solid wood, clear glass or stained glass. Shop around to find out what is available before making a purchase.

You can save money on flooring and countertops as well. Substitute vinyl flooring in place of more expensive ceramic tile to save money. If you can install ceramic tiles yourself, you can have them for about the price you would pay a contractor to install vinyl flooring.

Countertops vary widely in price depending on the material that is used. Counters that are more durable are also more expensive. You may want this if you want to be able to cut food directly on the counter. For most people, this is an easy way to cut the overall cost of your kitchen. You can find less expensive material that gives the look of marble, butcher’s block or other expensive materials.

Once you have decided what you want, consider how much of the job you can do yourself. Contractors can eat up a large portion of your budget. The more you can do, the more you will save in the overall cost of the room. Use the savings for great new furniture.
