How To Bring Your Living Room To Life

November 20, 2008 | Category:Articles-Host | Author: admin

Do you like what you have but dont like your room? Heres the solution: pull your rooms together so they look finished and professionally decorated by following these techniques to add the wow to your rooms! (Ive used them in hundreds of homes!).

1. Paint the walls and ceiling a rich, warm neutral color or one of the colors in your rooms fabrics. Your furnishings will immediately look more at home. I call it marrying your architecture to your furnishings.

2. Next, move your seating away from the walls and group it around a fireplace, a view window or any logical focal point.

3. Now, add a generous area rug to accent and unify your entire seating area.

4. Fill any empty looking corners with large plants and soft up-lights. Add a decorative, folding screen for a fuller look.

5. Place your lamps to evenly and softly light your seating area. Use additional lighting to accent your artwork, collections and accessories.

6. Create a focal point on the coffee table by elevating one of your favorite accessories on a stack of several books (sans covers). This will give your treasure more presence. Then add a low, full green plant or a blooming orchid and a couple of large, glowing candles. If you like a fuller look, use a decorative tray or runner underneath.

7. Lastly, be sure to decorate the top half of your room (from the furniture up), with tall plants, window treatments, artwork and that wall color. The room will feel considerably larger, more interesting and most importantly finished!

These few changes will make all the difference so you can start enjoying living in a beautiful home!

Amazon.com Review

Weber’s One-Touch Gold kettle grill is a great buy for anyone looking for a classic model with a few convenient extras. The design is sleek. The results are delicious.

As with all Weber grills, this kettle’s lid and bowl are constructed of premium porcelain-enameled steel–which means not only does heat radiate evenly, but the grill will survive if it’s left out in the rain. The cooking surface (22-1/2 inches in diameter) is big enough to accommodate six large steaks, twice as many burgers, or up to a dozen kebabs, and the grill’s classic kettle shape keeps flare-ups to a minimum.

When designing this grill, Weber clearly kept convenience in mind. The grill’s nickel-plated grate has two built-in hinged side openings that make adding more charcoal briquettes easy and safe, and, when the lid’s not in use, it can hang from the bowl by a handy hook. The grill is durable, too. The porcelain-coated steel bowl and lid are exceptionally strong and designed never to rust, fade, or peel. The grill’s aluminum vents and ash catcher won’t rust either, and its tripod base, nylon handles, and all-weather wheels–besides being exceptionally sturdy–make the grill remarkably easy to maneuver. Weber’s patented One-Touch cleaning system–a clever setup of lever-activated blades–sifts ash out of the kettle and into a cooking-pot-shaped ash catcher. You never have to get your hands dirty–and emptying the kettle takes only a few seconds.

To top it all off, Weber throws in a 31-page owner’s guide filled with cooking tips and time-tested recipes for grilling everything from pork chops to bratwurst to Cornish hens.

Good quality item. I replaced my 10 yr old previous kettle. I really miss the special lid holder frame that my previous kettle had.

Bought this grill about 2 yrs. ago and its an excellent performer. However, about three months ago I noticed that the cover was going out of round with the kettle and it wouldn’t seal properly. I went to the Weber website to purchase a replacement cover and couldn’t find it as an available part for purchase so I called customer service. Before I knew it, the service representative was verifying my address to send me a replacement cover, no questions asked. I have seen some of the posts here about customer service, but was a little skeptical. I’m not anymore. A really pleasant surprise. Great product, great company.

This is our 3rd Weber in 20 years. We wouldn’t use anything else. Nothing else available works as well. I wouldn’t waste money buying any other off brand.

I love this grill. It cooks great and the food comes out delicious. The ash catcher is a real nice feature. The only dislike I have is the legs are very wobbly, they should have bolted them on. You have to be carefull when you move it around or the legs can fall out. I have a big Jenn Air gas grill but the food comes out much better on the Weber. This grill could use a thermometer on the lid but other then the legs and thermometer it is fantastic.

Home Decor Tips To Impress Your Friends

November 20, 2008 | Category:Articles-Host | Author: admin

Step 1: Pick a motif and go with it! Don’t pair your childhood bedspread
with a new wrought iron bed and lace curtains. Choose colors that remind
you of things you love. For example, my bedroom is all done in tan and
pastels, because those colors make me feel like I’m in a spring meadow.
Other favorite motifs include ocean, fall or sunset. Make it the vibe that
fills the room. This mean not just your bedding, but also any framed
artwork or standing decorations should go with the motif.

Step 2: Make it smell yummy! A room with a pleasant, inviting fragrance is
a great start to creating that special space where you go to escape. Choose
scented candles in your favorites smells. Vanilla is always relaxing and
tantalizing. Another choice: incense. It comes in limitless scents, and
you can be constantly changing your scented sticks to match your mood.
Plus, incense holders are decorations in themselves. They can be wooden or
ceramic, and some even come in statue form, so pick one that goes along with
the motif you’ve selected! If you’re not up for burning, then go with a
nice air freshener or plug in to give your space the smell that makes you
come running.

Step 3: Make it soft! Your bedroom is the place where you should feel the
most comfortable, so make it your own nest. You should hardly be able to
hold back from cuddling up in your soft bedspread (I recommend down!) and
pile of overstuffed pillows. Also, a soft, cushy rug beside the bed is the
perfect way to start your day of on the right foot.

Step 4: Get rid of the mess! Nothing kills a good mood like walking into a
cluttered room. Your place of relaxation should not be polluted with dirty
clothes on the floor and piles of things “to be put away.” If you take the
attitude that your room is your paradise, and when in it you should feel
spoiled, you won’t want to leave yucky messes lingering among your goodies.
Invest in plastic crates that slide easily under the bed or in the closet
for out-of-sight storage.

Step 5: Personalize! If someone else entered your room they should know
you live there. Fill it with things you love. Whether you like artsy
decorations or plant life or black and white collages of you and your loved
ones, surround yourself with the things that make you feel happy!
